All customers acknowledge that the Kuching city area has transitioned from physical scratch coupons to the Pay & Go digital application system. Tiva Transport no longer provides physical parking coupons within the rental vehicles.

Please note that Fuel charges may vary depending on the car model.
The use of the rental car is strictly limited to within Kuching town (except Puncak Borneo Highland), Kota Samarahan, Bau, Lundu, Sematan, Santubong and Serian only(up to Serian Town). Out of this area, OUTSTATION SURCHARGE will be incurred accordingly.
You may request us in advance to get permission for outstation and also liaise with us regarding the rate of every outstation area.
Driving outside of Malaysia, such as to Indonesia, is strictly prohibited.
Outstation fee does not include fuel, car breakdown, towing fee and repair service due to Pan Borneo road condition.
A non-negotiable charge of RM500 will be imposed if do not notify us or get prior permission for outstation outside Kuching from us.

Our operating hours are from 8:30am to 9:45pm daily, including weekends and public holidays, for all car rental operations (car pick-up and return available every day).
A security deposit is required at the time of check-in to cover any incidental charges or damages that may occur during your rental. The security deposit will be refunded upon check-out, provided there are no damages, outstanding charges, or violations of rental car policies.
Any incidental charges (such as fuel usage, traffic fines, or damage to vehicle) will be deducted from the security deposit before the remaining amount is refunded.
Deposit will be refund by Cash on the spot or Online Transfer by commercial account with in 24 hours (Kindly provide Local Bank Account Number or QR code)

The fuel (petrol/diesel) level should be maintained at the same level as when the vehicle was initially picked up by the hirer.
Regardless of who is at fault, if the vehicle is involved in an accident, is damaged, breaks down, or needs repair or salvage, you must notify us at once.
In the event of an accident or damage caused by a third-party vehicle, the hirer is responsible for obtaining all necessary third-party details, including the vehicle registration number, driver’s name, and driving license number. If a claim cannot be successfully made against the third party’s insurance, all damages will be borne by the hirer, subject to the excess clause as stated above.
You are reminded that under-body and overhead damage is at your own risk at all times. Insurance coverage will be void if the vehicle is driven on unsealed, unpaved, or unsuitable roads or surfaces. (Tyres, Windshield, Bodykit Side Skirts, Engine Oil pan)
In the event of an accident, you must inform us immediately at the scene. You must then follow our instructions and lodge a police report within 24 hours from the time of the accident or from the time you discover any theft or loss. A written police report must be obtained and provided to us.
If the vehicle is required to be towed, you will be responsible for the cost of towing the vehicle regardless of who is at the fault for the accident.
Note: Not actual insurance, but a waiver that limits the renter’s liability.
Insurance excess (the amount the renter must pay in case of claim, RM1,000-3,000)
Accident procedure: Must notify us for further within 24 hours.
As above the amount renter must contribute towards the cost of repair or replacement of the vehicle or damage to third party property.
By purchasing Excess Protection, you can limit your financial responsibility based on the type of vehicle you rent. For compact cars, the cost is RM30 per day, with an excess amount of up to RM3,500. For sedan cars, it is RM40 per day, with an excess amount of up to RM5,000.
For MPV, the rate is RM50 per day, with an excess amount of up to RM6,500, while Luxury MPV / SUV / PICKUP are RM80 per day, with an excess amount of up to RM10,000. In the event of damage or loss, you will only be responsible for the specified excess amounts and nothing more. However, if you do not purchase Excess Protection, you will be liable for the full cost of any damages.
Broken Lights: RM200 – RM200
Per Dent: RM100 – RM1500
Per Scratch: RM100 – RM500
Per Tyre: RM150 – RM600
Repair cost varies depending on the car type and model.
The Excess Protection for accident or damage only applicable for collision between two moving cars.
Excess Protection does not cover damage to underbody or over body damage (including if the vehicle has a rollover), or towage costs associated with any damage.
Any damage while the vehicle is stationary will be under hirer responsibility and subject to the excess clause as mentioned above.
Excess protection does not apply for damage as a result of your illegal, negligence, careless actions, car loss, tire punctures, bust tire, fuel errors, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned off electrical devices, loss or damage to the vehicle accessories and damages of windows, mirror and undercarriage.
No off-road usage /Off-road usage are not covered with CDW
Windscreen & Tyre Coverage – The Excess waiver not applicable for Cracked windscreen, tyre punctures, rim damage.
Please ensure that all headlights and interior lights are turned off when the vehicle is not in use. Leaving them on can drain the car battery completely, even when the engine is off.
If roadside assistance is required for a battery jump-start due to this, a surcharge of RM30–RM50 will apply limited to Kuching only.
Please ensure you use the correct fuel type for your rental vehicle (Petrol or Diesel).
Using the wrong fuel can cause serious engine damage. A surcharge of RM200–RM500 (or more, depending on the damage) will apply if incorrect fuel is used.
If you’re unsure about the fuel type, please ask us before refueling. We’re happy to help!
Please check the condition of the tires before and during your rental. If a tire puncture occurs during the rental period, repair or replacement costs will be borne by the renter.
Surcharge for tire puncture: Tire mending RM30/mending or Tire replacement RM200-RM1000, depending on the damage and repair required.
For your safety, please avoid driving over sharp objects or off-road surfaces not suitable for standard vehicles.
Please Please note that the excess waiver does not cover cracked or damaged windscreens.
To help avoid such damage, we kindly advise keeping a safe distance from heavy vehicles, stone-carrying trucks, and roadside grass cutters. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
Windscreen replacement costs may apply if damaged during your rental.
For Long Term Rental you are responsibility to ensure that:
You take reasonable care when driving and parking the vehicle
You maintain the water in the vehicle’s radiator and battery at the proper level
You maintain the oil in the vehicle at the proper level (If the oil are overdue kindly inform us for service and car replacement. Service and maintenance costs are borne by the rental company.)
Renter maintain the tires at the proper pressure
To ensure the safety and cleanliness of our vehicles, the following rules must be observed:
No drugs or alcohol while operating the vehicle.
Obey all traffic laws at all times.
No smoking inside the vehicle.
No durians (unless properly packed).
No speeding (Speed limit: 70km/h within Kuching town areas, 90km/h on Kuching highways).
No parking in restricted or prohibited areas.
No spills or vomit — please keep the vehicle clean.
Eat and drink with care to avoid damage or stains.
No pets allowed in the vehicle.
Personal belongings are kept at the hirer’s own risk.
The hirer is fully responsible for all parking fees, as well as any traffic fines, JPJ summonses, MBKS/PDRM compounds, or other penalties incurred during the rental period.
It is strictly prohibited to smoke and bring smelly food or stuff (eg: durian, raw fish) in the car. RM100 will be charged if we found any unpleasant smell upon the return.
There are few live SPEED TRAP CAMERAS in Kuching (expecially the way from Airport to Kuching town, Airport to Serian and Airport to Bau). You are recommended to not exceed the speed limit 70km/hrs in town, 90km/hrs outside of town.
All parking fees or traffic fines incurred during rental period will be your responsibility. Additional RM20 will be charged for every summon paid by our company.
You agreed that after returning the rental car to us, you are still solely responsible for any fines related to traffic violation or parking penalty issued by local authority during the rental period.
