Visiting your kids at Unimas or Swinburne, and need a car for the back-and-forth between Kuching and Samarahan? The Perodua Myvi 2020 is the newer-generation Myvi, with a more modern cabin than the 2016 unit, at RM130/day for 1–2 days or RM120/day for 3–29 days.
It’s automatic, seats 5, takes about 2 bags and has a RM200 deposit. There’s enough room to take everyone out for dinner once the kids are done with class.
FAQs
1. Can I drive the Myvi to Lubok Antu or Batang Ai?
Yes. The outstation fee for Lubok Antu is RM150, charged once for the whole rental, not per day.
2. Myvi 2020 or Myvi 2016, is the newer one worth it?
For RM10/day more (RM120 vs RM110 for 3–29 days), you get a newer generation with an updated interior. If you’re mostly doing short city trips, the 2016 is fine.
